From behind, Kun-Sae sneaks a makeshift noose around Ki-Woo’s neck. He writes on a prescription bag, then on his flyers, then on his pants as he needs more room. She also doesn’t care about Da-Hae’s grades — they just loved Min-Hyuk so much because he was 17–17 Ki-Woo follows Yon-Kyo up a large staircase. Through the chaos, Ki-Tek sees Da-Hae carrying a bloody, unconscious Ki-Woo out of the house and across the yard.Ki-Tek throws the car keys towards Dong-Ik, but they fall in the grass. Mun-Kwang’s body is still curled up against the toilet.136–136 Ki-Tek buries Mun-Kwang by a tree in the yard.136–137 Ki-Tek pays his respects to Dong-Ik’s photo on the wall, just as Kun-Sae had. Ki-Woo drops the stone as he’s dragged across the floor by the neck.
She hears Mun-Kwang call “Babe” to someone in the basement and notices a horrible smellChung-Sook calls Mun-Kwang a bitch and says she’s going to call the police, and Mun-Kwang begs her not to, saying she doesn’t even have a house. Yon-Kyo rolls down the window for fresh air.118–118 Chung-Sook serves food to guests, who are sitting at beautifully decorated tables in the sunny yard.118–120 In Da-Hae’s room, Da-Hae accuses Ki-Woo of being off somewhere else while they’re kissing. Ki-Jung tells Chung-Sook she’s going to check on Kun-Sae and Mun-Kwang in the basement. I knew as soon as I ran out of the gate where I had to go.”135–135 In a flashback, we see Ki-Tek running out from the gate. Chung-Sook gives her food to bring to them, but before she Ki-Jung leaves to do so, Yon-Kyo pulls her out to the garden. She’s extremely ill and furious at Chung-Sook.109 -109 Ki-Tek looks back at their apartment to say goodbye. Dong-Ik continues talking about how Ki-Tek never crosses the line while driving, but he always gets very closeDong-Ik starts seducing Yon-Kyo on the couch. The party guests are too distraught to notice, and the surveillance cameras still don’t work from when Mun-Kwang disconnected them.135–135 Ki-Tek runs through the house to the storage basement.135–135 Ki-Tek grabs some food and water, avoids walking through the blood and plum extract on the floor, and escapes into the secret room, sealing himself inside.135–136 Through voiceover, Ki-Tek tells us that he was fortunate to have an empty house for so long after the Parks moved out.

He grabs Da-Hae’s wrist — Yon-Kyo and Da Hae are equally frozen in shock by the gesture — and tells her that he will teach her confidence so that she can breeze through the questions and not worry about the ones she doesn’t know — 19–21 Yon-Kyo pays Ki-Woo a thick wad of cash and agrees to a 3x/week tutoring schedule. I think that an artist who’s never dealt with a theme like that is actually more original, would actually be more unique.”The latter was one of the most technically challenging parts of the movie to film. From under the coffee table, Ki-Tek begins getting angry. Then he’s lying motionless on top of Kun-Sae’s coat. What do you get out from it? Everyone screams and the crowd parts, as Kun-Sae runs towards Ki-Jung with the kitchen knife. But then Da-Song runs downstairs, forcing the entire family, except Chung-Sook, to hide under the coffee table. Women come to the aid of Yon-Kyo and Da-Song.We hear the sound of sirens getting closer as Ki-Tek exits through the gate.129 -130 Through voiceover, Ki-Woo tells us that he awoke in the hospital a few months later, where he was questioned by a detective. Ki-Jung is dressed sophisticated for the role of Jessica.24–24 Da-Hae and Da-Song listen in as Yon-Kyo interviews Ki-Jung. He doesn’t want her walking down the hill at night32–33 Yun is driving Ki-Jung home and insists on bringing her all the way to her house, rather than to the subway, but she refuses. He sings “Welcome back, what a hard day you must have had at work / Welcome back, Mr. Park we love you so much92–95 While she eats the Japaguri herself, Yon-Kyo comments to Chung-Sook that the motion sensor lights are going bonkers. Ki-Woo escapes from under the bed to find Chung-Sook and Ki-Tek.97–103 Ki-Woo, Chung-Sook, and Ki-Tek start to escape the house, picking up Ki-Jung from under the coffee table. Then Ki-Woo shows everyone a video of a white girl folding pizza boxes, and the family uses this as inspiration to fold boxes faster.4–6 The pizza shop owner tells the family they’ve only folded 1 out of 4 correctly. He finds Da-Hae’s “wooden box of secrets” hidden next to the bed. Mun-Kwang offers Yon-Kyo some plum extract to help ease her nerves.Mun-Kwang retrieves the plum extract from a storage basement that’s stocked with food, beverages, and other necessitiesWhen they arrive back upstairs, Ki-Jung and Da-Song are waiting in the kitchen. This resonates with Ki-Tek, who used to work at the restaurant and understands the shame. He says that, what’s most important is, she never crossed the line — he hates people who cross the line. He says he’s planning to ask her out once she’s in college, but while he’s off studying abroad he needs someone he can trust (a.k.a who won’t be a threat) to take his place as her tutor. The tables have turned.Mun-Kwang prepares the video to send to the Parks. Ki-Woo thanks her and calls her ma’am, as if newly acquainted. Ki-Woo brings her water.63–63 Ki-Woo relaxes on Da-Hae’s bed.

I think that as a contemporary artist, it’s easy to be attracted to these themes because capitalism is our daily life, it’s the time zone we live in. Chung-Sook is sobbing while Ki-Woo is smiling back at Ki-Jung’s photo. He notices the garage door is partly open and ducks inside. Ki-Woo tries to shut the window but gets shocked by damaged electrical wires.108 -108 Ki-Jung sees the toilet spewing shit water.
