I think this was the first film I watched with excessive bad language, but if you ignore it the film is a delight. It was as good as I remembered it to be! It is one of my favorites, Alan Rickman was one of my favorite actors.

Kevin Smith has stated that the reason his 1999 religious fantasy/comedy Dogma isn’t available anywhere to stream is because of Harvey and Bob Weinstein. Such a great funny film, some of Alan rickman's best work, very funny, also matt damon and ben affleck have a great working relationship and are extremely funny.

Though the comedic nature of the film is prevelant throughout, you really do get the sense that the writer spent a lot of time working through their own theological issues and debates while putting this script together.

This is one my family's absolute "Thinking man's comedies!, but after my younger daughter graduated from college and moved to Silicon Valley, she couldn't find a copy for her own. I would recommend this to anyone with an open-minded sense of humour and a good-natured, easy-going attitude towards theology. The disc itself is in excellent condition.
