Overall, a really fun, scary, and smart film that constantly surprises you and, while it doesn't re-define the genre, it effectively freshens up the zombie film genre.Fairly speaking, World War Z the movie does NOT respect the original novel at all, however it is still a very good movie if it was not overshadowed by its novel counterpart.It's nothing unique or special, but it surprises with the great twists and turns. Seeing as this did not follow the book very closely they have many options where they could take it.
I was prepared to watch a mediocre zombie film, but I ended up watching a relatively decent movie. I'm hoping they do a sequel because I would like to see where the storyline goes. I will skip past all of the many problems to get straight to the point.
