The story is told from the 1st person perspective of the cult member,Tender Branson,and is told from the end of the story so that is an interesting twist. He lives in the Pacific Northwest. Read better, decent read but meanders on in points and tends to throw utter nonsense into the story diluting the point. I liked him up until a point in the novel where he ceased to think for himself. Brought up by the repressive cult and, like all Creedish younger sons, hired out as a domestic servant, Tender finds himself suddenly famous when his fellow cult members all commit suicide.

I didn't think he'd be able to follow with anything nearly as interesting, but I was surprised and happy to find he had.

Like so many of Palahniuk's story this one is hard to describe without giving too much away but like so many of his stories it speeds to a fast paced unexpected ending that both revels key facts while at the same time leave the reader scratching their head.

A really strong story, brilliantly delivered and cleverly written, Survivor is Chuck's weird and humorous mind firing on all cylinders. I thought it started out strongly, but as soon an Tender Branson (the main character) got lost in his fame I felt a little bored.
