The story is told from the 1st person perspective of the cult member,Tender Branson, and is told from the end of the story so that is an interesting twist. He lives in the Pacific Northwest. Read better, decent read but meanders on in points and tends to throw utter nonsense into the story diluting the point. I liked him up until a point in the novel where he ceased to think for himself. Brought up by the repressive cult and, like all Creedish younger sons, hired out as a domestic servant, Tender finds himself suddenly famous when his fellow cult members all commit suicide.

Known primarily for his controversial, transgressive fiction – in particular his 1996 novel

I thought it was inventive and clever, well constructed and in it's way very honest.A bizarre social commentary.

Palahniuk near the top of his game, highly recommended for his fans But was it enough?I really enjoyed Fight Club. This is the 4th or 5th Chuck Palahniuk story that I have read and I have to say that this is one of the better ones. Gwen's part was cool throughout up till the last minute, where it stopped making sense!

I didn't think he'd be able to follow with anything nearly as interesting, but I was surprised and happy to find he had.

His books aren’t good or anything but I just like reading them ironically. However, it was enjoyable but it's mainly a good idea that could have been executed better.

Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk.

chuck palahniuk will mess you up.

Like so many of Palahniuk's story this one is hard to describe without giving too much away but like so many of his stories it speeds to a fast paced unexpected ending that both revels key facts while at the same time leave the reader scratching their head.
It’s fine.Vonnegut,Kozinski,Christopher Moore and now Chuck Pahlaniuk have tapped the black humour of all the mainstream sacred cows, with stylish grace and the prescient ability to extrapolate the consequences of our most innocuous acts.Vonnegut,Kozinski,Christopher Moore and now Chuck Pahlaniuk have tapped the black humour of all the mainstream sacred cows, with stylish grace and the prescient ability to extrapolate the consequences of our most innocuous acts. The only Palahniuk book I've read to date is "Fight Club" - and that is such a great book with such a great movie adaptation (watched it before I read it btw). The only Palahniuk book I've read to date is "Fight Club" - and that is such a great book with such a great movie adaptation (watched it before I read it btw).Since I didn't know wht to expect, that's exactly what I got.

Just as it was getting more exciting, nothing really happened afterwards, too many loose ends, too many question marks.

A really strong story, brilliantly delivered and cleverly written, Survivor is Chuck's weird and humorous mind firing on all cylinders. I thought it started out strongly, but as soon an Tender Branson (the main character) got lost in his fame I felt a little bored.

It is different in that when you read the first page of the book, you could be reading the last, as the book starts and ends in the present, and most of everything in between tells you how he got to his present situation. 9780099282648 Buy Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk from Waterstones today! One of the members, Tender Branson, decides not to. Wickedly incisive and mesmerizing, Survivor is Chuck Palahniuk at his deadpan peak. “A turbo-charged, deliciously manic satire of contemporary American life.” Given that she had such a close relationship with the Credish survivors, he might have felt it necessaI'm going to be honest, I'm starting to become less and less impressed with Palahniuk's work in general-- and it saddens me to admit this.
