The film deals well with issues like loyalty, duty and disillusionment. I bought this King Arthur director's cut dvd recently, it arrived through the post today in excellent condition.This is an extremely good film. It was fascinating to watch the "tropes" find origin material within this realistic story: the sword, Guinevere/Lancelot triangle, the reconciliation between Christian, Roman, and early British influences on the details of the story. This is an extremely good film. If anyone knows the title of that book, please let me know!] the use of tattoos, which were an important part of various groups of peoples at that time, characters who were filthy - bathing wasn't common back then except in Roman society & other "more" civilized cultures. The cast is brilliant lead by Clive Owen as Arthur, Ioan Gruffudd, Ray Winstone & Keira Knightley. It's as long as a babies arm holding an apple. HD. It should be made clead in the title that it is an US disk working only in the US; I found it out too late. I would recommend potential buyers to read the two entries under 'product Description’ carefully to help them decide, taking note of the comments on stereotypical gender disparities. This DVD is intended for the US market, and doesn't work on my UK bluray player. Can remember seeing a bit of this when it was on tv but never saw beginning. All the men have body armour and protection from the cold but she walks around in thin dresses or her skimpy leather outfit!!! King Arthur is a 2004 historical adventure film directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by David Franzoni.It features an ensemble cast with Clive Owen as the title character, Ioan Gruffudd as Lancelot and Keira Knightley as Guinevere, along with Mads Mikkelsen, Joel Edgerton, Hugh Dancy, Ray Winstone, Ray Stevenson, Stephen Dillane, Stellan Skarsgård and Til Schweiger. some great actors in this movie but not sure it's a good role for Kiera Knightly.
