Dort lernt er den wenig älteren Jack Twist kennen, der schon den zweiten Sommer dort arbeitet. But it's not. "You know I ain't queer," Ennis tells Jack after their first night together. [with his arms around Jack]

Author: Farid-ul-Haq. Heath Ledger was an Academy Award-winning, Australian actor best known for his roles in 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'The Dark Knight.' She comes out again when the men have separated, and Ennis introduces Jack to her. Ennis lost both parents when he was young and grew up in the care of two older siblings.

One of these shirts has blood on it, from the last day on the mountain when Ennis hit Jack on the nose. Jack has done this once before, but Ennis is new to the job.

[rubs feet]  In the closet Ennis discovers an old shirt of Jack’s, stained with Ennis’s blood, layered over a shirt of Ennis’s, from their Brokeback days.

The movie opens with the two men together, but they soon split up, and we alternate between Ennis and Jack, with more time being devoted to Ennis's complex relationship with Alma. Ennis says his brother used to punch him and that he finally punched his brother one day, taking him by surprise. It stays in closeup.

The ranch’s owner has sold the place, and Ennis must move out this morning. [to bikers]  [two drunken bikers sit down near Ennis, Alma, and their daughters at the fireworks show]  [crying]  He is the author of numerous books including Missing in Somerville, and The Game Master of Somerville. He died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in 2008. "Brokeback Mountain" has been described as "a gay cowboy movie," which is a cruel simplification. But she notices there are never any fish.The movie is based on a short story by E. Annie Proulx.

Ennis says he hasn’t slept with other men, and Jack lies and said he hasn’t either. Ze moeten de schapen naar Brokeback Mountain brengen, en ervoor zorgen dat ze de zomer heelhuids doorkomen. His mother invites Ennis to see Jack’s room. [Ennis gets up and kicks the first biker hard in the face, then turns angrily on the second one]  Ennis' wife, who has seen them kissing, says nothing about it for a long time. Brokeback Mountain, the beginning. Jack agrees. After Jack complains about the four-hour commute to get to the herd, the men switch roles: Ennis heads up the mountain while Jack prepares meals in the camp.
