This movie says, "You're old, so what? A swinger on the cusp of being a senior citizen with a taste for young women falls in love with an accomplished woman closer to his age. Terrible casting, worse script. What would have been icing on the cake for me is if Ann Margret & Raquel Welch were also in their book club. Directed by Bill Holderman. It was what I expected from trailer, nothing more, nothing less.

The four members in the titular book club of “Book Club” are four women who have been meeting once a month to drink wine and talk about a book. a list of 100 titles It portrays women in their 60s as shallow and sex starved which again is not realistic. I go to a movie to be entertained, not to pick apart everyone's physical attributes. With newfound confidence, they each begin to come alive as exciting romances are ignited and old flames are rekindled. By the time I had decided I was either going to turn it off or put my foot through the screen I knew that once again it was only the lowest common denominator being catered for.

There's a fine line between "This is so fake swallowing it would be like swallowing plastic fruit" and "This is fake, but its artistry seduced me and I have been swept up in an alternate world thanks to my willing suspension of disbelief."

Through it all, the ladies inspire one other to make this next stage of their lives the best and steamiest thus far.Rated PG-13 for sex-related material throughout, and for language.
But, once again (just as she did in "First Wives Club" and "The Family Stone"), Diane Keaton proved me wrong. After her husband abruptly asks for a divorce, a middle-aged mother returns to college in order to complete her degree. Octogenarian Fonda paired with Don Johnson? Worse than worst!
